Cost of Invisalign

Who We Are And What We Do

Does Invisalign cost a lot?

We’ve heard a lot in the media recently about how Invisalign can cost a lot, and is a hard and long procedure.

However, we want to take a minute to put your mind at rest:

Invisalign is one of the best value for money options when it comes to orthodontic correction.

Let’s take a look at some of the factors involved in the treatment process, which we hope will pull you towards choosing our Invisalign package as your corrective selection.

Invisalign is a premium product compared to traditional braces. It uses state of the art technology to create a series of customised aligners for each patient and has significant patient benefits.

The cost of treatment is determined by our prescribing dentist and is based upon the complexity of treatment required and the schedule of fees charged.

At Peninsula Dental We offer flexible and affordable monthly payment plans, often with interest free options.

Invisalign may cost you more than Metal braces in few cases. However economical options are also available in Invisalign system.

However, what tips the scales for many of our customers is the sheer convenience and ultimate clarity involved in wearing the Invisalign system.

It should come as no surprise why so many of our adult and even teenage clients are choosing Invisalign.

It goes without saying that the more clarity customers expect from their braces, the more expensive the application will be.

This is usually why we hear customers say Invisalign is the most expensive option.

Yes, the system is completely invisible and wearers can remove the brace at their own discretion (although we’d only recommend this for eating and brushing), but this is exactly what makes Invisalign so special.

Compared to conventional invisible braces, which are simply clear-colour coated metal pads, Invisalign is a almost an invisible system that’s designed to prevent unsightly appearance.

Adult customers particularly appreciate it as we’ve found many of our clients in their 20s, 30s, and even 40s feel self-conscious about the experience of braces at an older age in comparison to the “acceptable” teenage years when metal braces are routinely applied.

Our customers who have had metal braces during their lifetime will know that there’s always monthly checkups, cleanings, diet changes, and other awkward procedures to go through during the treatment phase,

which can all quickly add up in the cost department.

Looking after the Invisalign system is as simple as taking them out, soaking it in warm water, and replacing it after brushing.

That’s not to say there aren’t checkups required though. We find our customers usually visit us every six weeks during the treatment procedure for new aligner trays and to have a general, once-over that ensures the treatment is working as it should.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Insurance Cover Invisalign?

If your insurance policy has orthodontic coverage, Invisalign should be covered to a similar extent as conventional braces as Invisalign is normally prescribed for a full course of orthodontic treatment.

However, as medical benefits differ significantly from policy to policy, each patient should check with their health fund.

Is There a Price Reduction If I Only Require the Top/Bottom Aligner?

The charge for Invisalign is based upon the consultations needed and the 3D modelling cost.

Single arch treatment does not mean that the price will necessarily be halved from the two arch treatment cost. Please consult us for further information.
